The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) which was formerly known as the National Productivity Corporation was established in 1962 as a joint project between the United Nations Special Fund and the Federal Government, with the International Labour Organisation acting as its executing agency.

MPC objectives are to providing value-added information on productivity, quality, competitiveness and best practices through research activities and databases, develop human capital and organisational excellence for building a knowledge-based society through training, systems development and best practices and nurture innovative and creative culture for productivity and competitiveness through partnership programmes.
